ARGE GMO-free

ARGE GMO-free

The "Working Group for Genetically Engineered Food" (in short: ARGE GMO-free) is an independent Austrian platform, supported by companies from the food trade, food production, the animal feed industry and agriculture, as well as by organizations and associations from the areas of environmental protection, consumer protection, agriculture and science.

ARGE Gentechnik-frei has set itself the goal of enabling, promoting and supporting GMO-free production in Austria (food, animal feed, agricultural products).

For this purpose, the ARGE Gentechnik-frei awards the green control mark "Produced without genetic engineering".

The basis for awarding the mark is compliance with the guideline for the definition of "GMO-free production" of food and its labeling in the Austrian Food Codex or in the organic area of the EU Organic Regulation as amended.
